Altoona man wanted for homicide hurt at Pittsburgh International Airport

Allegheny County Police have arrested a Blair County homicide suspect after an incident at Pittsburgh International Airport on Wednesday.

Police were dispatched to a parking garage just before 8 a.m. after getting reports of a man that jumped from the second floor of the complex.

Officers were initially unable to find the man but shortly after got a call from a man asking for help in a stairwell of the parking garage.

The man was taken to the hospital to be treated for serious injuries.

During an investigation, the man was identified as 30-year-old Joshua Leyo of Altoona, who was wanted in connection with a homicide that had occurred earlier in the day.

With help of Altoona police, Allegheny County Police went to the hospital where he was placed in custody while still being treated.

Leyo will be extradited back to Blair County after he is released from the hospital.
