Pennsylvania State Police responded and the person is currently being held on an illegal gun charge.

Evidence is currently being reviewed.

Developing: Person being questioned in Altoona in connection to fatal CEO shooting

ABC News reports that man is being held for questioning and say the unidentified suspect has a gun that is similar to the weapon that was used last week in the killing of Thompson.

CBS Radio News reports the description of the man matches that of the wanted suspect.

Altoona Police confirms to KDKA Radio that they are indeed questioning a man in connection with the shooting. The man was stopped with multiple fake IDs.

New York City Police are heading to Altoona to question the man. The man has not been named a suspect, at this point.

Altoona is about two hours east of Pittsburgh.

Thompson was killed in broad daylight in Manhattan last Wednesday.

The words “deny,” “defend” and “depose” were found written on the shell casings recovered from the scene of the shooting at West 54th Street and Sixth Avenue.

Multiple photos and videos of the alleged suspect have been released in the days following the shooting.

Brian Thompson, 50, was gunned down around 6:45 a.m. right outside the entrance to the hotel as he headed to an annual meeting with investors, where he'd been scheduled to speak. Surveillance video shows the gunman walking up behind him and opening fire, striking him in the back and leg.

Police believe it was a targeted killing.

This is a developing story and will be updated.
