As we prepare to celebrate America's 250th Birthday, it's a good idea to assess our current state as a country.
Many say we have never been more divided.
Families and best friends are estranged over how they voted. Holidays are destroyed by disagreements over politics.
Meanwhile, thousands of international soccer fans who have flooded the U.S. are gushing about how much they love it here.
They don't want to leave.
Know this about our country: If they ever did build a wall around it, far more people would try to get in than try to get out.
We are flawed in many ways and need to improve in so many areas but if we work hard and don't give up, the American Dream is still there.
Let's make sure we don't kill it.
