American Airlines plans to add 500 maintenance jobs at its heavy maintenance bases in Charlotte, Pittsburgh and Tulsa.
In a release, American said Pittsburgh will get 44 of the new jobs Charlotte will have 133 and Tulsa 321.
The American facility in Pittsburgh handles Airbus narrowbody airliners.
The hangar has room for three aircraft with two positions reserved for the maintenance reviews every plane gets every six years.
