Another former Rite Aid reopens as a Giant Eagle Pharmacy

The newest standalone Giant Eagle Pharmacy opened in Sewickley Thursday.

The pharmacy opened at the former Rite Aid on Beaver Street with a ribbon-cutting.

In addition to prescriptions, the Giant Eagle Pharmacy will also offer health, beauty and wellness items, along with foods, including prepared foods, fresh produce and other "grocery essentials."

To give back to the community, Giant Eagle says they are donating $1 dollar from every prescription transferred to the pharmacy over the next week, up to $2,500 to the Sewickley Valley YMCA.
