Like many other kennels over the past several months, The Humane Society of Lawrence County says it’s currently at capacity and looking for help.

“The shelter is over capacity on both dogs and cats,” the Humane Society wrote on Facebook. “If you have an animal you need to surrender, we ask you to please bear with us.”

If you are looking for a new dog or cat to join your family, you can visit the Humane Society’s website here.

If you can’t take in a new pet, you can help by donating.

The Humane Society tells KDKA Radio both monetary donations and supply donations are “extremely helpful.”

A list of supplies that are needed can be found here.

Donations can be mailed to:

P.O. Box 62
New Castle, Pa 16103

You can also drop off a donation anytime Tuesday through Saturday from noon to 4:30 p.m. or on their website.

Also, any supplies ordered online can be shipped to:

628 Pearson Mill Rd
New Castle, Pa 16101
