The site of a former church in Monroeville is set to become a new Sheetz convenience store.
Permits were approved on Tuesday night during a council meeting for construction to take play at the former site of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church on the 4500 block of Old William Penn Highway.
The new Sheetz will be the fourth in the area.
One is one Mosside Boulevard and two more are along William Penn Highway.
Based out of Altoona, PA, Sheetz announced earlier this year a plan to open 60 more stores.
That includes the City of Pittsburgh’s first location.
Pittsburgh City Councilwoman Theresa Kail Smith announced in August that a Sheetz is coming to Banksville Road, the former site of the Rite Aid pharmacy.
