KDKA Radio Editorial: Anti-Semitic Violence: Criminal, Vile And Unacceptable

Days after an arson attack on his residence in Harrisburg, Governor Josh Shapiro talked about the fire set in the same room where his family and guests had a Passover Seder a few hours earlier.

The governor said about an hour after he went to bed someone was banging on the door telling him to get his family out. In moments, Mr. and Mrs. Shapiro, their children and pets were huddling in their pajamas in the chilly morning air.

What happened is despicable.

But there’s much to be grateful for. No one was injured. Politicians on both sides of the aisle quickly condemned the senseless act.

A third-party investigation will look into security at the mansion and hopefully future incidents can be prevented.

Sadly, what isn't condemned is condoned. As a result, anti-Semitic crimes are increasing.

There is no place for this kind of hate at any time, especially when Jews and Christians are celebrating Passover and Easter.
