Pennsylvania State Police in Armstrong County have made an arrest in the fatal stabbing of an elderly woman.
The suspect is identified as 37-year-old Mengqi Zhang of Gilpin Township.
Police say she stabbed 79-year-old Rosalind Cooper, then barricaded herself inside and refused to cooperate with responding officers from the Southern Armstrong Regional Police Department.
That's when State Police took over the investigation.
Zhang exited the residence and was taken into custody without further incident.
She's been charged with criminal homicide and aggravated assault.
