1/9/23 4:30 UPDATE:

Astrobotic says a "critical loss of propellant" means it's Peregrine lunar lander cannot reach the moon.

The company was able to recharge the spacecraft’s battery Monday and the Peregrine team is performing as many payload and spacecraft operations as possible.

In a statement, Astrobotic says it is "assessing what alternative mission profiles may be feasible."

They expect propellant to run out sometime on Thursday.

There was some good news yesterday as Astrobotic shared the first image from Peregrine in space.

“We continue receiving valuable data and proving spaceflight operations for components and software related to our next lunar lander mission, Griffin,” Astrobotic said.
