The historic Westinghouse Atom Smasher in Forest Hills will be disassembled in the fall.
The 65-foot structure built in 1937 was laid on its side in 2015.
It will be carefully taken apart and its pieces will be rebuilt at the Westinghouse Headquarters in Cranberry Township.
Officials say the purpose is to preserve the structure.
The project is expected to be completed by mid-to-late October.
