A Pittsburgh Attorney may be going down for embezzling more than $1.3 million from the Incline Preservation Society of the Duquesne Incline
53-year-old Christopher Furman has been indicted by a federal grand jury on charges of wire fraud and money laundering according to US Attorney Troy Rivetti.
Furman is the President of the Board of Trustees for the Preservation of the Duquesne Heights Incline that has operated the incline since 1964.
Furman transferred close to $1.4 million from the society's bank accounts into his own from October 2024 to September 2025.
Furman is the sole defendant.
