The “Giant Eagle Feed The Need Radiothon” produced an amazing result on Tuesday for the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank.
In the seventh year of the simultaneous fundraiser on all five Audacy Pittsburgh stations, sponsors and listeners outdid themselves again, donating the funds to purchase 331,000 meals, 70,000 thousand more than last year.
As Brian Gulish, the Food Bank’s VP of Marketing and Communications said: “Our neighbors always step up. Neighbors helping neighbors. That’s what we do, we’re the City of Champions.” Gulish also said the generosity of the community never ceases to amaze him. And it never ceases to amaze us!
