Bahama Breeze Pittsburgh location, and others, to close in April

The Pittsburgh-area’s only Bahama Breeze restaurant, along with all other locations will close for good at the beginning of April.

Darden Restaurants Inc., the parent company of Olive Garden and Longhorn Steakhouse, says that half of the 28 remaining Bahama Breeze locations will close for good and the remaining 14 will be converted to another type of restaurant.

Pittsburgh’s Bahama Breeze, in Robinson Township, near the Mall is one of the locations slated to completely close.

The last day of operations is scheduled for April 5.

Bahama Breeze is no longer considered a “strategic priority” for Darden, a release from the company says.

The restaurant offers “Caribbean inspired food” tropical drinks and a “vibrant island atmosphere.”

The other Bahama Breeze location in PA, in King of Prussia, is also closing.
