Local Bar owners are joining forces after a deadly shooting, announcing a unified effort to improve safety across their establishments.
Following the April 18 shooting outside Club Elegance in Braddock that left one woman dead and two others critically injured, bar owners say they’re taking action.
Effective immediately, they’ve formed a unified coalition, meeting monthly to coordinate safety strategies and keep their businesses operating responsibly.
Fifteen bars are already participating, with more expected to join.
Under the agreement, anyone who causes a disturbance or engages in violent or disruptive behavior at one location will be banned across all participating bars.
Owners say the goal is to protect their community while supporting each other, calling the effort “One Band, One Sound”, and inviting others to join as they work to prevent future violence.
