A Murrysville man who pleaded guilty to striking two people with a baseball bat last year will serve the rest of his aggravated assault sentence on parole.

A Westmoreland County judge ordered 26-year-old Reno Roberts to serve up to 23 months in jail but gave Roberts credit for the 212 days he's been in jail since his arrest late last year.

He'll now serve up to one year on house arrest and will be on probation for five years after his sentence concludes.

Roberts struck a former girlfriend and her companion with a bat at the GetGo station on Route 22 in Murrysville October of last year.
