Road work along the Parkway's Bathtub section begins next week.
The work on the more than $14 million project begins next Thursday night, with single lane restrictions on the westbound part of the road from Oakland to the Fort Pitt Bridge 9pm to 5am both Thursday and Friday nights.
Then, on Saturday, is when more serious restrictions begin.
The westbound Grant Street ramp will close around the clock through next August, as well as the left-hand onramp to Stanwix Street. The section between the two exits will lose the left-hand lane.
Because of that, the right-hand exit lane to the Fort Duquesne Bridge will be shortened to allow two lanes of traffic to get onto the Fort Pitt Bridge.

- From Grant Street turn right onto Ft. Pitt Boulevard
- Continue to the intersection with Stanwix Street
- Turn left toward the ramp for west I-376/Ft. Pitt Bridge/Airport
- Bear right to continue on the ramp for west I-376/Ft. Pitt Bridge/Airport
- End detour
Westbound I-376 to Stanwix Street (Exit 70D)
- From westbound I-376 take the left-hand off-ramp to Grant Street (Exit 71A)
- Turn left onto Ft. Pitt Boulevard
- Continue to Stanwix Street
