The Beaver County Humane Society needs the public's help finding who may have dumped a 4-month-old puppy in the woods.

The shelter is offering a $500 reward for information.
The stray is emaciated and in very poor condition.
The puppy was found to be hypothermic with a one out of nine body score.
The poor pup is also anemic due to an extreme case of parasites and malnutrition, and has an old leg injury.
“We are unsure if this pup was out in the elements for weeks or if it was just dumped recently,” Cailin Rankin, Shelter Manager said on a Facebook post. “We want to be Beaver County’s resource when caring for an animal becomes too much, we wish the person or persons who did this would have turned to us instead of leaving this pup in the woods to die.”
The shelter's medical team is now caring for the puppy, and if there are no signs of improvement, a blood transfusion may be necessary.
If you have any information at all that could help them, call the Beaver County Humane Society Police Department at 724-775-5801 X 110
