Saw Mill Run Boulevard bridge being closed has been extremely annoying for residents in Beechview. A new detour sends rail shuttles between the Overbrook Junction to Potomac Station, with bus shuttles operating between Potomac Station and Station Square.
Buses have had trouble making turns down Beechview Avenue from Sebring Avenue and they are getting stuck because of how tight the turns are.
According to residents they pay for permit street parking and because of how narrow the roads are and the street parking, it has made traffic miserable because of all the buses that are getting stuck.
A spokesperson for the Port Authority said this is the only route that they can use for a detour and that they've been doing it for more than 50 years.
