A Belle Vernon man was found guilty of third-degree murder and other charges Thursday night in Westmoreland County.

The jury deliberated for more than two hours before the panel convicted 29-year-old Anthony Hairston in the road rage killing of Holly Vadella.

Prosecutors said Hairston was agitated as he drove behind Vadella’s slow-moving vehicle because he was trying to get to a bar before it closed on New Year’s Eve in 2022.

Witnesses testified Hairston fired two shots as he passed Vadella’s vehicle, killing her.

Westmoreland District Attorney Nicole Ziccarelli says Hairston will be sentenced in the next three months.
