The Penn Hills community is mourning the loss of one of their own.
The Penn Hills Midget Football Association announced that Coach Mason Murray, better known as just Coach Mason has died.
A 1995 graduate of Penn Hills, Murray was a record-holder at running back.
The association says Murray “could have gone to many heights in his football careers rather became a servant for the community of Penn Hills, spending his life guiding future generations of young players as a committed coach and board member of the PHMFA.”
Murray was also on the association board and coached in Penn Hills over 20 years.
Funeral details have not been released.
