UPDATE: The Walmart and Giant Eagle Shopping Center in Bethel Park has reopened after reported bomb threat earlier this morning. Bethel Park Police Department were called there earlier this morning for a report of an explosive device inside the Walmart. No explosives or suspicious devises were found and the stores were cleared to reopen. Bethel Park Police says the investigation into the incident continues. They received help from both Allegheny County and the University of Pittsburgh police.
Allegheny County police confirm the bomb unit has been sent to the Walmart/Giant Eagle Shopping Center on Library Road in Bethel Park.
The police department there issued an advisory Wednesday morning telling people the shopping center is closed.
