Body found in PA State Game Lands now listed as a homicide

A suspicious death in Westmoreland County over the weekend has now been listed as a homicide.

There is a $2,000 reward for any information leading to an arrest in the death of 64-year-old Bob Friend.

Police said Friend's body was found by a hunter near a parking lot on the state game lands in Loyalhanna Township.

Police say Friend was transient and known to frequent bars that still allowed smoking in the Greensburg area.

State Police suspect Friend was killed late on Friday, October 24 or early in the morning on the 25th.

Police are asking you for help in piecing together Friend's last few days.

Friend is no stranger to law enforcement having a lengthy rap sheet dating back to 1991.

Most of the transgressions were related being drunk and disorderly.

Anyone with any information pertaining to Friend's whereabouts prior to his death are asked to call PSP TIPS at 1-800-472-8477.
