The Pittsburgh Police Bomb Squad was called downtown to Penn Avenue and Tenth Street shortly before 6:30pm to investigate after a bag was left unattended in the area.
Pittsburgh Public Safety asked the public to avoid the area.
Just after 7pm, Pittsburgh Public Safety said the bag was checked and was determined to be safe. Streets in the area were reopened.
