The Allegheny County Bomb Squad is investigating a possible explosion inside a vehicle in Whitehall early Sunday morning.
Whitehall police were called to the 4400 block of East Barlind Drive just after 6 a.m.
for what was described as a "long bang" and smoke in the area.
Upon arriving at the scene, officials found a damaged blue Toyota SUV.
No one was inside the vehicle, and there were no injuries.
Police are still trying to determine whether this was intentional or an accident, but regardless, they say there is no current threat to the community.
