There was a surprise waiting for the people at the Washington Area Humane Society on Thursday morning.
A box of kittens was left at the front door.
Four kittens were in the box and are now being taken care of by the Humane Society.
“This is why we need your support!” the WAHS said on a social media post. “100% of the animals we intake are from Washington County, and almost 80% are neglected, abused, abandoned, or strays.”
They say fosters are needed to help take care of the “cute kittens”. You can get more information on fostering here.
The abandoned cats just happened to also be dropped off on WCCF (Washington County’s Community-Wide) Gives Day.
Donations are being collected for the Humane Society and over 130 other Washington County-based charities. You can learn more information here and help out the Humane Society here.
