A 5-year-old boy is dead after drowning at Moraine State Park today.
It happened near Pleasant Valley Beach on the South Shore.
The Butler Eagle reports the boy from Pittsburgh had been swimming with his family, within the roped swimming area.
Park rangers are investigating.
