A brand-new ALDI grocery store opens in the area next week.
The newest store opens on the 400 block of Penn Avenue in Wilkinsburg on January 30.
It’s the first ALDI location in the Wilkinsburg community.
The new location will be open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. every day, with a special grand opening at 8:45 a.m. on Thursday.
The first 100 customers will get a gift bag “with a sampling of ALDI Fan Favorites products and a gift card.”
An ALDI Golden Ticket gift card giveaway contest is being held during the grand opening as well. Shoppers can enter to win a $500 ALDO Gift Card between January 30 to February 2.
Curbside pickup and grocery delivery options will also be available.
“Our stores are designed to make grocery shopping smarter, faster and easier,” said Kevin Ely, Saxonburg vice president for ALDI. “We’re excited to open our first ALDI store in Wilkinsburg and introduce local customers to a new, more affordable way of shopping.”
