Breeze Airways is expanding again in Pittsburgh, adding its first international flights and a new Florida destination.

Days after Spirit Airlines ceased operations, impacting about 3.5 percent of Pittsburgh International Airport’s traffic, Breeze Airways is expanding at PIT with its first international flights and a new Florida destination.

The airline will launch nonstop service to Cancun, Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, its first international routes from Pittsburgh.

It’s also adding Vero Beach, Florida, marking the airport’s first service to the Treasure Coast.

Vero Beach flights begin October 1, 2026, with Cancun and Punta Cana starting January 7, 2027.

All new routes will operate three times a week on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.

“Breeze is a fantastic partner in Pittsburgh, and we are thrilled to support their continued growth and investment with these three new routes,” said Bryan Dietz, Senior Vice President, Air Service and Commercial Development at PIT. “With 18 destinations available from Pittsburgh, Breeze offers travelers more options to places they want to go at a customizable price point to fit any budget. Thanks to Breeze for their commitment to the Pittsburgh region and demonstrating the strength of our market.”
