Buc-ee’s travel centers have become a destination of its own for many people and the closest one yet to Pittsburgh is opening this year.
The first Ohio location for Buc-ee’s will open in Huber Heights, just outside of Dayton, on April 6.
Huber Heights Mayor Jeff Gore made the announcement on social media earlier this week.
Huber Heights is just a little under four hours from Pittsburgh, making it the Buc-ee’s closest location to the region.
While four hours is still quite a drive, Buc-ee’s has become a destination for travelers who want to experience the giant-sized convenience store that serves prepared and made-to-order foods, as well as walls of snacks, supplies, merchandise and more.
Some of its most popular snacks include “Beaver Nuggets”, banana pudding, cherry maple jerky, fresh glazed almonds, fudge and more.
Based in Texas, Buc-ee’s has branched out into the southeast and has started to branch out more to the north with another location in Crawford, VA, a little over 4 hours from Pittsburgh.
With the Oho location opening a few weeks before the draft, may travelers to Pittsburgh may be stopping at the brand-new Buc-ee’s as they make their way here.
A large hiring event is planned for the Huber Heights location on February 17.
