Butler County Community College evacuated and closed its main campus Thursday after a possible online threat.
In a release, the college said it was made aware of the threat by Butler Township police.
The threat on social media was a photograph of a message written on a white concrete brick wall that referenced Oak Hills and Sept. 30. The post also pinned BC3's main campus.
The main campus is located on the former Oak Hills golf course.
Police were concerned the message may have been posted locally.
BC3's main campus was evacuated and closed by 10 a.m. Thursday. Campuses in Armstrong, Butler, Jefferson, Lawrence and Mercer Counties are still open.
College officials will decide Thursday if they will reopen campus Friday.
