Officials in Butler County say they hope to complete counting their mail-in ballots by Wednesday night.
Butler elections officials had trouble all Tuesday with the main scanner used to record ballots.
Commission Chair Leslie Oshe tells the KDKA radio Morning Show the contractor will bring in a new one today.
"We are hoping that arrives, but in the meantime we'll keep moving forward with the machine that we have," she said.
Oshe said "I would suspect by this evening we'll have that group counted."
Roughly 32,000 mail-in ballots were cast in Butler County. Oshe said "certainly this mail-in process has been less than stellar."
