This is big people. Huge. It's time for a Cake Walk from our friends at Oakmont Bakery and we're doubling up the deliciousness. We've got two custom cakes ready to go for two amazing men. We'll tell you where to meet them this weekend, later in this story.
Watch the video on this page to see the special Cake Walk for two veterans, one served in Vietnam, the other in World War II and now they're friends and roommates.
Talk about a history lesson. FIrst of all it's amazing these two men are standing here before us. Warren Goss, age 97, didn't just serve in World War II, he was in the first wave storming the beaches of Normandy. He was wounded but continued serving for a total of 33 months before leaving the Army.
His friend and roommate also has quite a story to tell. Harry VanRiper, age 75, was drafted into the Army during Vietnam and lost his arm in the conflict. Both men share a love for God, country, and of course cake. Just check out the creations Marc Serrao and his team at Oakmont Bakery whipped up special for these fine gentlemen.

While we were there in their home, both men showed us they're still quite active. Warren still hits the gym and his buddy Harry was on a massive ladder changing the batteries in a smoke detector nearly 25 feet up on the ceiling.
If you'd like to hear some of their amazing stories in person, you have an opportunity this weekend at a special event for veterans that our friends at Purposeful Impact Pittsburgh have put together.
