Shaler residents say Canada geese are stopping rush hour traffic on all four lanes of Route 8.
Drivers are stopping for birds from a flock of about 100 as they cross the road.
Killing Canada geese is against federal law, so stopping and going around is the only option.
One problem is: in June and July, Canada geese molt, losing their feathers and can't fly.
The geese walk everywhere with their goslings, which also cannot fly.
