
Canonsburg man among those injured in New Year's attack in New Orleans.
Jeremi Sensky was in surgery Wednesday evening after being injured in the New Orleans attack that left 15 people dead.
Jeremi, already confined to a wheelchair since 1999 was not able to get off the street when the truck plowed into the crowd of people and was thrown out of his chair.
Sensky's daughter Heaven Sensky- Kirsch posted on social media that Sensky was out of surgery and expected to be intubated into Thursday.
She goes onto say “By the grace of God, he is alive,” my dad is full of life, is resilient and he lives vibrantly, and I’m sure he’ll continue to.”
Sensky suffered two broken legs and is expected to survive those injuries.
Heaven posted an encouraging update on Thursday morning, saying her father is now awake and is talking.
As of Thursday morning, 13 people injured in the attack have been discharged. 16 remain hospitalized.
