Capo’s will stay open, but only under new safety requirements from the Allegheny County District Attorney.
DA Stephen Zappala’s office filed a complaint Wednesday seeking to close Capo’s, but his office says that is a necessary step in order to get a court order to cover the areas of agreement with the owners.
Capo’s has now agreed to after two days of talks.
The new conditions will be part of a consent order that must be approved by a judge.
Zappala says any violation could lead to contempt proceedings and an immediate request to shut down the South Side bar.
The action follows a series of incidents, including the alleged rape of a woman who police say was left outside the bar.
