An awkward collision in Westmoreland County as a driver escaped with minor injuries when his car collided with a bear
The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reports the collision was reported around 7:30p.m. Thursday night on Route 981 in Loyalhanna Township, Westmoreland County between Pump Station Road and Mulberry Drive.
The man was driving south on 981 when his small sedan struck the bear. The driver was evaluated at the scene by medics.
As for the bear, it left the scene before emergency crews arrived. The state game commission was notified of the incident.
