The Diocese of Pittsburgh has announced St. Januarius Church in Plum is closing next month.
In a letter, Bishop David Zubik said the Catholic Church on Renton Road will close on September 23.
The bishop said repairs, including a new roof, are beyond the parishes' ability to afford.
The pastor at St. Januarius recommended the closing after meetings earlier this summer.
