On Thursday, charges from a domestic dispute were withdrawn against the son of Allegheny County's district attorney.
Stephen J. Zappala was charged with assault and harassment following an incident at his home in Ben Avon Heights last month. According to the criminal complaint, officers found a victim with physical evidence that supported the allegation.
When the 31-year-old appeared for a preliminary hearing Thursday, a prosecutor said the victim wanted to withdraw the charges.
