The Chartiers Valley School District is being sued over the alleged sexual harassment of an 8-year-old student in 2018.
The student, now 16, was in third grade at Chartiers Valley Intermediate School when the alleged harassment began.
The lawsuit says the girl’s parents reported the behavior to school officials.
The male student accused of harassment was moved to a different classroom, but according to the filing, he remained nearby, giving him continued access during class periods.
The lawsuit also claims the girl was threatened and felt too scared to speak out.
The district says it is reviewing the facts from 2018 and will respond through the proper legal channels.
