A 17-year-old girl died after being his by a vehicle in Carrick Friday afternoon.
Pittsburgh Public Safety says it happened around 2:50 at the intersection of Brownsville Road and West Woodford Avenue.
According to reports, a vehicle driving down Brownsville began sliding and collided with a pole. It continued sliding and hit the girl, who was standing on the sidewalk.
Police say the driver remained on the scene and EMS arrived performing CPR before transporting the victim to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead.
Police say an investigation is ongoing.
