An Armstrong County man is behind bars after State Police say he tried to lure a young child into his vehicle.
Pennsylvania State Police say 58-year-old Walter Mitchell of Apollo is charged with luring a child into a motor vehicle.
Troopers say Mitchell approached a 4-year-old boy who was playing on Pine Circle in Kiski Township on May 28 and allegedly offered him money to come with him.
Investigators say neighbors helped identify Mitchell after reporting a separate police incident.
He was taken into custody on June 1 and is currently being held in the Armstrong County Jail.
