A man owing nearly $40,000 in back child support has been taken into custody by the Allegheny County Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff Kevin Kraus’ office says 59-year-old Michael Aniszewski had been on the run since November 2024 when a bench warrant was issued when he didn’t appear for a “status conference” on his failure to pay the child support.
Detectives learned Aniszewski was on the North Side and were able to track him town and taken him into custody Monday without incident.
He was then taken to family court and appeared in front of a judge about this warrant and unpaid child support.
