The South Side is taking another hit after the announcement that Club Café off East Carson Street will close for good.

The Post-Gazette reports the intimate music venue will close for good by the end of 2024.

In a statement, owner Opus One said they are moving on to "other endeavors."

Club Café has hosted up-and-coming musical acts for a quarter of a century.

The dimly lit venue has been a place to get away and enjoy music, compared to the hustle and bustle of the South Side flats.

The venue has been owned by music production company Opus One for the past 13 years and has hosted music since the late 1980s.

Club Café is the latest music venue on the South Side to close.

The pandemic forced the Rex Theater to close in 2020.
