A 30-year-old teacher at Connellsville Middle School is facing sexual abuse charges, accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a 14-year-old former Student.
Fayette County District Attorney Mike Aubele says Ashley Mongel also faces a charge of unlawful contact with minor.
Law enforcement were made aware of the situation trough a report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
Investigators discovered conversations, adult in nature between Mongel and the minor through cell phones and social media, as well as shared explicit images.
