Consumer Alert issued for Pittsburgh brewpub

A brewery on the South Side has been hit with a Consumer Alert after an inspection by the Health Department.

Sly Fox Brewery at The Highline on South 4th Street was hit with the Alert after an inspection on Thursday.

13 total violations were found, including two considered high-risk.

The inspector found “too man to count mouse droppings in all areas of the facility.”

The other high-risk violation found was a can opener blade found with “old, dried food debris” on it.

Inspectors say that there are multiple entry points for rodents and all must be covered before the alert is lifted. Pest control treatment must also be increase to “at least once per week.”

A deep cleaning is also ordered by the Health Department.

Sly Fox also has another location in Downtown Pittsburgh. That location is not affected the alert.
