Pittsburgh's city controller says the public wants answers from city council regarding the contract between the city and retired police chief Larry Scirotto.
City Controller Rachel Heisler says in a statement the questions from the public include how the city handles benefits for non-union employees previously covered by a bargaining agreement.
Specifically, about how paid leave is awarded and how pensions are calculated.
Heisler says earned benefits of every member of city government must be protected.
She goes on to say it is critical that the determination of earned benefits is a transparent process.
She wants a public meeting to discuss the matter.
