Police say the West Virginia couple accused of robbing a bank in North Strabane early this month are now in custody.
Brandon Scerri and Kayla Pruett were taken into custody on Thursday in New York City.
The couple is accused of robbing the First National Bank on the 2600 block of Washington Road in North Strabane Township on June 5.
After the robbery, they reportedly drove the getaway car to Canonsburg and had a meal at Kentucky Fried Chicken about two miles away.
They’re charged with several felony counts in connection with the robbery
The couple left the bank with almost $7,500.
North Strabane Police also worked with the FBI, US Marshals and other agencies.
