A Pittsburgh-area restaurant that made headlines during the pandemic is permanently closing.
Crack’d Egg on Brownsville Road in Brentwood has announced it is closing. It’s last day of operation will be May 10.
“And here we are in 2026 Costs through the roof. Pressure nonstop. And the truth is...we’ve got nothing left to give,” a Facebook post read.
The owners say while they’ll miss their customers, it’s “time for family and friends.”
They add they were considering closing last year, but were able to sign a one-year lease extension.

The restaurant also took a parting shot at the Allegheny County Health Department in its Facebook post.

A going out of business sale will occur in the coming days.
