A restaurant in the Cranberry area is out of compliance after an inspection by the PA Department of Agriculture’s food safety program.
Files show Juniper Grill on MacKenzie Way in Cranberry Township was hit by five violations after an inspection on Wednesday.
Those violations include a food slicer not being cleaning properly. That is a repeat violation that has happened two other times since 2025.
Another repeat violation includes several non-food contact areas not being cleaned properly and floor grout missing in spots on the cook line.
Some employees were seen not wearing proper head gear, including nets, hats or beard covers.
Deformed and misshapen plastic utensils used for cooking were also observed being used. The items are not durable enjoy for regular use in the restaurant.
As of Friday afternoon, Juniper Grill is out of compliance, but is not ordered to close.
Inspectors are giving the restaurant until March 10 to rectify some of the issues.
